Mental Health Support for Women
In-person and online mental health support for women
Women often carry the weight of multiple roles in their family and community. Women’s experiences with stress, burnout, and life and health transitions affect the quality of their relationships and physical and emotional well-being.
The challenges to women’s mental health are undeniable; in addition, trauma-related issues are higher in women seeking out support. For that reason, our approach to therapy is trauma-informed, a modality that recognizes our female clients’ complex experiences. It offers them the knowledge, compassion and safety that will contribute to their mental health and well-being. This approach is essential for improving long-term mental health outcomes, especially for adults and younger women.
How can therapy for women and womens-related issues help?
We understand that women face unique mental health challenges throughout their lives. From anxiety, depression, and compassion fatigue to postpartum struggles and life and health transitions, we are here to provide empathetic and skillful support tailored to our client’s needs.
You are not alone! We focus on offering a safe space to talk, tools to manage anxiety, grief, self-care, relationship issues, and guidance through significant life transitions.
Why choose us?
We offer responsive and inclusive therapy for women from diverse communities, such as LGBTQ+ and those with various ethnicities, races, and cultural backgrounds. Our couples therapy services include working with interracial and cross-cultural couples and with people in non-monogamous relationships.
Women experience higher rates of work and domestic challenges, sexual assault, and intimate partner abuse, which can result in long-term emotional and psychological distress. Our team of therapists, among other modalities, use a trauma-informed and mindfulness approach as we believe it is essential to help our clients regain control of their lives.
We understand that life stressors, hormonal changes and family responsibilities can impact intimacy. We offer sex therapy to help women connect with a more satisfying sex life.
