Life Transitions Therapy and Counselling
Life transitions are a normal occurrence in a life time. There are different types of life transitions: anticipated, unanticipated, joyful, difficult, gradual, and nonevent transitions.
Through my work I have learnt that most of us struggle with adjusting to the new roles, new habits and a renewed sense of identity that life transitions are likely to require from us.
Some examples of the most common life transitions are:
- Marriage or starting a new significant partnership
- Divorce and Separation
- Coming out
- Becoming a parent or addition of children
- Empty nest
- Career changes
- Loss of a career or job
- Moving from your residence
- Changes in your health
- Loss of a significant other
Building resilience and re-discovering your self-capacities to overcome challenging issues are paramount in the way I approach life transitions therapy and counselling. Life transitions therapy and counselling offers the opportunity to mindfully uncover the innermost wisdom that will support you in connecting with your values, yourself and the world around you.
