A Little About Me
For over 30 years, I have worked in the field of mental health, supporting individuals through grief, trauma, life transitions, anxiety, relationships, and emotional healing. I am the sole owner and operator of Mindfulness Therapy Services and a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO), based in Burlington.
In addition to English, Burlington-based psychotherapist Margarita Rabinovich is fluent in Spanish and provides both in-person and online mental health therapy and counselling services in both languages.

I completed my university studies in Psychology in 1992 and spent many years working within non-profit organizations and mental health services before moving into full-time private practice. Those decades of experience allowed me to work alongside people from many different walks of life, each carrying unique stories, struggles, resilience, and hope.
Over the years, I have also provided clinical supervision to advanced university students and registered psychotherapists, offered consultations to trauma therapy teams, and facilitated workshops on trauma, grief, and mindfulness across Canada and South America. Today, I continue to offer online clinical supervision to psychotherapists in independent practice and qualifying registrants.
The Experiences That Shape My Work
My work is deeply informed not only by professional training, but by lived experience. Like many people, I have experienced profound grief, loss, and major life transitions. I have said goodbye to people and places that once shaped my sense of identity and belonging. These experiences changed me in meaningful ways and deepened my empathy, compassion, and understanding as a grief and trauma therapist.
One of the most important things I have learned is that healing is not simply about reducing symptoms. Relief is often just the beginning. Therapy can become a space to reconnect with yourself, rediscover meaning, and move toward a more grounded and mindful life. It is always an honour to witness clients grow into greater self-awareness, confidence, and emotional freedom through the therapeutic process.
Travelling, living, working, and training in different countries around the world has also shaped the way I see people and healing. These experiences strengthened my appreciation for the shared human experiences that connect us all — grief, love, trauma, hope, resilience, and the longing to feel understood.
Life Outside the Therapy Room
Outside of my work, I enjoy spending time in nature, hiking, mindful photography, painting, music, reading, writing, yoga, and meditation. Long-lasting friendships and self-care are deeply important to me. And at home, I happily report to the true CEO of my practice: my cat, Alice in Wonderland.
Although my practice is based in Burlington, I provide online psychotherapy and counselling services across Canada and internationally.
